What Is J Plasma Renuvion?

J Plasma Renuvion, known as just ‘J Plasma’ or ‘Renuvion’, is a relatively new cosmetic (non)surgical procedure, which is used, as the name suggests, to rejuvenate a person’s skin on a particular body part such as the neck or face.

The procedure uses cutting edge field-specific technology that is revolutionising the cosmetic surgery industry. It does so by ionising gas, known as plasma, using an energy source to create a more youthful appearance and smooth out wrinkles and scars.

Energy that is used is safe levels of radiofrequency combined with helium gas to improve the look, texture and feel of your skin.

This advanced treatment, also known as ‘Skin Resurfacing’ is the perfect solution for both men and women who are looking for a solution to healthier, more youthful looking skin.

In addition, J Plasma can help with wrinkles, age spots, acne, sun damaged skin and skin laxity.

Why Choose J Plasma Renuvion?

J Plasma Renuvion Skin Resurfacing is becoming increasingly more popular across the UK, including all major cities; Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London and Leeds.

One of the reasons for this is that it is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that can produce outstanding results, similar to that of a surgical facelift but without the associated risks and downtime.

In addition, treatments are performed on an out-patient basis so that you can return home the same day with fresh, ‘new’ looking skin.

Furthermore, the multitude of benefits of this treatment include:

  • Scar reduction
  • Reduction and/or elimination of age spots, sun damaged pigment and freckles
  • Reduction of wrinkles and lines caused by ageing and weight changes
  • Tightening of loose skin in known problematic areas of the face
  • Improvement of skin texture and tone around the lips, eyes, cheeks, forehead, jaw and neck
  • Reduction of eye bags and crow’s feet
  • Reduction of acne and pigment issues (chloasma)

J Plasma can ‘instantly’ improve a patients’ skin depending on the severity of their problem zones.

A J-Plasma specialist is able to advise and provide a realistic guide during a consultation of what can be achieved on an individual basis and how much one person can benefit from a single treatment.

Furthermore, Renuvion can be combined with other cosmetic procedures, such as a neck lift, to create more patient possibilities and achieve multiple results at the same time.

Both women and men can undergo J Plasma treatment. However, it is most popular with women and the most common treatment areas are:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Breasts
  • Stomach
  • Arms
  • Thighs

About J Plasma Renuvion

J Plasma treatments are generally separated in to two category areas; body and face (including neck).

Depending on the area being treated, the method used for the procedure can vary slightly.

For example, procedures carried out on the body can be under the skin to restore definition, whereas neck and face procedures tend to be external to resurface and tighten the skin.

However, a combination of both internal and external treatments are possible.

Procedures can be carried out under sedation, local and general anaesthetic depending on the area being treatment. Generally the larger the area, the bigger the procedure and therefore general anaesthetic is used.

J Plasma produces visible results almost instantly.

Within hours after leaving your clinic you will see the difference to your skin texture, tone and elasticity.

Only one treatment is required per procedure and results can continue to develop up to 2-3 months after as skin continues to tighten and forms new collagen.

How The Technology Works

J Plasma Renuvion uses innovative technology and machinery to tighten the skin by forcing it to produce collagen.

Helium gas is energised using radiofrequency energy in an ionisation process, which is then moved over certain parts of the skin that are being targeted for treatment using a precise piece of equipment.

As the machine passes over the target area, the skin is tightened.

Plasma is neither a solid, liquid nor a gas, instead plasma is what is created when enough energy is given to helium. It can be used to melt down tissue within the body so that it can be removed and sculpted to create a more defined figure. For example, removing stubborn fat from problematic body regions – such as arms, stomach, flanks, neck and chin.

J Plasma is known for producing similar results to that observed by traditional facelift surgery, but without the side effects and downtime recovery.

How Does Liposuction With J-Plasma Work?

Begin your liposuction with J-Plasma journey with conventional liposuction to eliminate fat cells in the desired region beneath the skin. After anaesthetising or sedating your treatment area, small incisions are made, and a cannula is inserted to liquefy and remove any extra fat deposits from that spot.

After the specified fat has been eliminated from its designated area, our J-plasma skin-tightening device is carefully inserted into the same incisions below the surface. This ingenious cold plasma technology works beneath your skin to tighten and smoothen it out for that flawless finish you desire!

The J-Plasma device uses patented cold plasma technology that is designed to provide effective and safe skin-tightening treatments with long-lasting results. This advanced innovation works by producing a plasma beam that creates tiny thermal micro-injuries in the target area, stimulating collagen production for immediate lifting and tightening. It also helps improve skin texture and tone as well as reduce wrinkles, blemishes and other skin imperfections.

Recovery & Side Effects

Recovery from Renuvion procedures can take between two to three weeks depending on the extent of the procedure and the target area.

Larger body parts generally require more downtime and patients will feel more symptoms than that of smaller target areas.

Patients should expect to experience symptoms for up to three weeks post treatment. These can include:

  • Dry skin
  • Peeling skin
  • Mild pain
  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Itching
  • Bruising

Medication can be taken to curb symptoms if at any point you feel uncomfortable. However, symptoms are very rarely severe and patients can usually return to regular light activities after two to five days.

It is common for patients to experience a ‘tight’ feeling in the area that has been treated as the sensation post treatment is different than before.

In addition, compression wraps can be worn day and night in the immediate recovery phase to help with the healing process and ensure a more comfortable resting / sleeping state.

However, every patient is different and no two are the same. So if you are feeling like you are experiencing more symptoms than you should, contact your clinician for assistance and advice.
